We can all take something great from the following slice of Black Girl Magic. So, instead of trying to reason out the whys and wherefors to some foolishness that transpired in the media this week, I’m going to leave you with something inspiring, beautiful and encouraging – at least it was that for me.
UCLA Gymnast Nia Dennis performed Sunday, and her Beyonce-inspired floor routine was so fabulous, it went viral. With a score of 9.975 and more than 2 million views and counting, this young woman figured out the winning recipe when it comes to capturing audience attention: Love what you do, be the best at what you do, show a little flavor to back up your skill, and let Beyonce provide the soundtrack.
