I almost forgot to post this. I’m still working on my on camera chops…I need a lot of work. LOL. I have GOT to remember to wear my contacts! There’s a nasty glare off my poor glasses and without them I look cross-eyed…I hope I don’t look like that all the time… But some of my Oscar pics did win!
This subject matter – taking chances with minorities in film roles and pushing directors, producers, screenwriters and such to include minorities in what might be considered traditionally white roles – is particularly interesting given the kerfluffle about Quvenzhané Wallis playing the iconic role of Annie.
People are like, OMG, that’s not Annie! Just because Wallis is not white with curly red hair. I wonder if people would have been as upset if they died her hair red…I was red for awhile It was quite flattering. I’m kidding. Not about my red being flattering, but you know!
